🧠 What Is SSP?

The Safe and Sound Protocol is a five-hour listening program developed by Dr. Stephen Porges, the neuroscientist behind Polyvagal Theory. It’s not a meditation, and it’s not music therapy. It’s a nervous system intervention — designed to help your body return to a state of safety.

It uses specially filtered music that trains your nervous system to recognize cues of safety — the foundation of social connection, emotional regulation, and healing.

  • Activate the vagus nerve via the auditory pathway

  • Gently shift your system out of fight/flight or freeze

🌀 My Experience (Briefly)

I’ve been through my own nervous system journey. There was a time I didn’t feel safe in my own body. I tried everything — breathwork, meditation, diet, movement. Some helped… but I still felt wired, numb, or exhausted.

Then I tried SSP. It was subtle at first. Then, something shifted. I cried for the first time in months. I slept better. I felt here again.
